Setup

Step 1: Create Reddit App

  1. Go to Reddit Apps
  2. Click create another app…
  3. Select script type
  4. Name it “Wovly”
  5. Set redirect URI: http://localhost:18923/oauth/callback
  6. Note your Client ID (under app name) and Client Secret

Step 2: Connect in Wovly

  1. Go to Integrations in Wovly
  2. Click Setup on Reddit
  3. Enter Client ID and Client Secret
  4. Click Connect
  5. Authorize in Reddit

Usage

"Post to r/programming: Check out this cool project"

"What's trending on r/technology?"

"Comment on that post about AI"

"Search Reddit for discussions about productivity apps"

Karma Requirements

Some subreddits have karma/age requirements:
New accounts or those with low karma may be restricted from posting in certain subreddits. These are Reddit’s rules, not Wovly’s.

Rate Limits

Reddit enforces rate limits:
  • Posts: ~10 per hour
  • Comments: ~10 per minute
  • API calls: 60 per minute

Troubleshooting

Check if the subreddit has karma, age, or approval requirements.
Wait a few minutes. Reddit limits how often you can post/comment.
Ensure the redirect URI matches exactly in your Reddit app settings.
