Use WhatsApp as a remote interface to chat with Wovly from your phone. Send messages to your WhatsApp bot, and Wovly responds.

How It Works

WhatsApp integration turns your WhatsApp into a chat interface:
  1. You message your WhatsApp bot
  2. Wovly receives the message
  3. Wovly processes it like a normal chat
  4. Response is sent back via WhatsApp

Setup

Prerequisites

You need a WhatsApp Business API account with a configured webhook.

Step 1: Get WhatsApp Business API Access

  1. Apply at Meta for Developers
  2. Create a WhatsApp Business Account
  3. Set up a phone number for the bot

Step 2: Configure Webhook

  1. Set webhook URL to your Wovly instance
  2. Subscribe to message events
  3. Note your Verify Token and Access Token

Step 3: Connect in Wovly

  1. Go to Interfaces in Wovly
  2. Click Setup on WhatsApp
  3. Enter your credentials
  4. Click Connect

Usage

Once connected, message your WhatsApp bot number:
You (via WhatsApp): What's on my calendar today?

Wovly (via WhatsApp): You have 3 events today:
- 10:00 AM: Team standup
- 2:00 PM: Client call
- 4:00 PM: Review meeting

Features

All normal Wovly features work via WhatsApp:
  • Check email and calendar
  • Send messages (with approval)
  • Create tasks
  • Web research

Security

WhatsApp messages are processed by your local Wovly instance. Responses are sent back through WhatsApp’s servers.

Troubleshooting

Check webhook configuration. Ensure your Wovly instance is reachable from the internet.
WhatsApp has rate limits. Very frequent messages may be delayed.
